Commercial real estate teams can use AI to organize property research, prepare underwriting inputs, work across approved files and systems, draft review-ready deliverables, and monitor recurring market signals. The routine work runs on its own, and your people get what does not add up. They keep the assumptions, investment decisions, client commitments, and licensed data.
What CRE workflow should a team automate first?
Start with a repeated workflow that has stable inputs, a clear output, and an identifiable reviewer. Property research, CRM updates, recurring market summaries, document intake, and first-pass diligence are usually better starting points than investment decisions or irregular negotiations.
Can AI connect to CoStar?
Not as of September 2026. There is no CoStar connector for Claude, and CoStar's public terms bar sharing passcodes with AI agents, scraping, and using its data as input to generative AI. AI can do the work around CoStar using public records, your own files, and systems with authorized connectors or APIs.
Does AI replace brokers, analysts, or asset managers?
No. A well-designed CRE workflow uses AI to collect inputs, follow repeatable steps, and prepare review-ready work. Brokers, analysts, asset managers, and principals remain responsible for assumptions, source validation, judgment, relationships, and final decisions.
