Codex inside the full-stack build process.
BeBrief is an iPhone preflight briefing app for pilots, built around route-level risk review, aircraft profiles, weather and NOTAM review, and Flight Service filing. Its team builds and maintains the mobile app, the backend and the integrations behind it.
The AI work was not a chatbot added to the product. It was a better way to build it: Codex set up as a build partner that reads the app, explains features, makes focused edits and runs checks across the mobile app, backend and integrations.
What we built
Automated code review checks proposed changes against the actual repo, flags risky edits and explains what changed.
Remote agents let the team start and guide Codex work from a phone.
Security review agents check authentication, data access, backend logic and integration points before changes move forward.
MCP tools give Codex project context and workflows.
We onboarded the team on when to use Codex, how to ask for focused changes and how to review the output. Product decisions, aviation safety context and releases stay with the team.
